1. The chiefs of the Republic of Korea’s overseas diplomatic missions, who are in the ROK for their 2016 meeting, attended an event for “public diplomacy together with the people” on March 16.

2. For the event, the mission chiefs, in small groups, attended meetings with representatives from cultural and arts industrial organizations, with academic experts on public diplomacy, and with those in charge of selecting public diplomacy activities; delivered lectures at schools; and engaged in voluntary work.

3. After the aforementioned programs, the entire group of the mission chiefs visited the Creative Center for Convergence Culture, Seoul, to explore ways for the “cultural enrichment” policy, one of the four policy objectives of the Park Geun-hye government, to produce the maximum possible effect overseas, as well as ways to put the ROK’s cultural contents to good use.
