1. The Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) hosted the 2016 Conference on Global Affairs titled “New Era, New Order, New Strategy” at the KNDA on October 26.

2. Session 1 -- Special Lectures on “New Era, New Strategy” -- featured lectures by Stanford University professor Stephen D. Krasner and by professor emeritus Masao Okonogi of Japan’s Keio University.

3. In Session 2 -- Eminent Scholars’ Roundtable on “Challenges, Tasks, and New Strategy for Korea’s Foreign Policy” -- moderated by KNDA Chancellor Yun Duk-min, the participants discussed in depth the North Korean nuclear issue, the rise of China, and the foreign policy direction of the Republic of Korea.

4. Session 3 -- Ambassadors’ Roundtable on “How to Deal with North Korea’s Nuclear Threats” -- moderated by IFANS President Shin Dong-ik and held in the form of dialogue with Ambassadors to the ROK, covered practical ways to address the North Korean nuclear issue.
